Install Eulerian Server-side Tracking

This guide explains how to configure and deploy the Eulerian Marketing Platform template in a Google Tag Manager Server-Side (sGTM) container using TAGGRS.
By using TAGGRS as your server-side environment, you can route tracking data securely and reliably from GA4 to Eulerian while maintaining full control over data collection and delivery.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• A server container in Google Tag Manager up and running
• An active TAGGRS account
• Administrator access to both GTM and TAGGRS
• Your Eulerian data collection domain, which is provided once you create your account

Configuration

Import the Eulerian template

1. Log in to your TAGGRS account
2. Select the product linked to your server container
3. In the GTM Templates, search for Eulerian Marketing Platform
4. Add it to the product.

Configure the tag

1. In your product, select Set up tags.

‍Example: sdf76df.eulerian.io

Configure triggers

To ensure data is sent correctly to Eulerian, you need to define appropriate triggers in your server container in GTM.

Global trigger (recommended)

Use a global trigger to forward all server-side events:

Trigger type: All Events
Client: GA4

This ensures that all eligible GA4 hits are sent to the Eulerian platform.

Optional Event-specific triggers

You can also create more granular triggers for specific interactions:

Purchase events
Event name: purchase
‍
Client: GA4
Custom interactions
Examples: add_to_cart, login, or other GA4 events
Client: GA4

Always test each trigger using GTM's Preview mode before publishing.

Publish and test

Publish the changes to your server container from TAGGRS.

Use GTM's Preview mode to verify that events are being sent correctly to Eulerian.
