GTM Copy Paste

This guide introduces the TAGGRS Copy-Paste Extension—a streamlined solution developed to accelerate and simplify the integration of server-side tracking with Google Tag Manager. It includes a step-by-step tutorial for an effortless configuration.

Designed for developers and marketing professionals, the extension enables rapid deployment by allowing you to copy and paste pre-configured elements directly into your GTM setup. This approach is especially valuable for agencies and freelancers managing multiple client environments, ensuring consistent, efficient, and scalable server-side tracking implementations.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your GTM container (web or server)
  • Access to TAGGRS

Process

  1. Download GTM Copy Paste Extension
  2. Log in with your Google account
  3. Create container
  4. Right-click and copy the tag you want to use
  5. Then you can paste it within another container, by pressing the orange button within the extension
  6. When you click on this, the tag manager container will reload and the tags are pasted

You can only copy and paste into the same kind of container. This means when working from a server container, you can also only paste these tags, triggers and variables into another server container.

Troubleshooting

When I want to paste the setting nothing happens, how is this possible?
‍

This may occasionally occur, log in again with your Google account and this problem will be fixed.
If the problem persists, reach out to TAGGRS help center.
